Google and Microsoft Increase Bug Bounties

Google and Microsoft are both increasing their payouts for bug bounties. In the case of Google, you can get $31,377 rather than $20,000 when locating a Remote Code Execution bug and you can earn $13,377 instead of $10,000 for an “unrestricted file system or database access” vulnerability.

Those increases in Google’s bug bounty program are permanent.

Microsoft is doubling its Office 365-related rewards, with the max payout rising from $15,000 to $30,000. However, that change is only going to be available for two months.
